NextGig is run by Crow and Raven Inc. in Boulder, Colorado. This page explains what we collect, why, who helps us run the service, and the choices you have. The short version: your career data is yours, it stays private to your account, and we never sell it.

What we collect

  • Your account: your name, email address, and profile picture from Google sign-in.
  • Your career profile: what you tell NextGig in the onboarding conversation and on your profile, including what you want, what you don't, and your experience.
  • Résumés: the text you paste and any files you upload (stored privately).
  • Your search: roles found for you; your saves, dismissals, and reasons; applications; follow-ups; drafts (cover letters, answers, and intro messages); and companies you watch.
  • Intro requests: the name and relationship of anyone you choose to type in when you ask for an introduction.
  • LinkedIn connections, if you import them: we keep only company names and how many of your connections work at each. Names and job titles in the file are used only to count, then discarded.
  • Feedback you send, with any screenshots, the page you were on, and your browser type.
  • Usage: the AI work done for you and the credits it used, so we can run the service and keep costs fair.

How we use it

To provide NextGig to you: building your profile, finding and scoring roles, researching companies, drafting what you ask for, sending the emails you've turned on, and keeping your account secure. We also look at aggregated usage to improve the service. We don't sell your data, show you ads, or use advertising trackers.

Who helps us run it

We share data only with the services that run NextGig, and only what each needs:

  • Google, for sign-in.
  • Vercel, which hosts the app.
  • Supabase, which stores the database and your files.
  • AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI and TypeSafe), which process the text of a task (for example a job posting and your profile) to score a role or write a draft. We use their business APIs and choose settings that keep your data out of their model training where they offer that.
  • Resend, which delivers our emails.

Company logos are fetched through our own server, so third parties don't see which companies you look at. Company briefs are researched from public sources and shared with other NextGig users; they never include anything about you.

Cookies

One cookie keeps you signed in. We don't use analytics or advertising cookies.

Your choices

  • Edit or remove anything on your profile at any time.
  • Download everything we keep about you, from Account → Your data.
  • Delete your account from Account → Your data. Your data is deleted right away, including stored files. Records of AI costs are kept without anything identifying you, and backups expire within a few weeks.
  • Turn off the morning email from any email or in search settings.
  • Pause your account to stop all searching and emails.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, files are stored in private storage, and every request is checked against your account. No system is perfect; if something ever goes wrong, we'll tell you promptly.

Children

NextGig is for people 18 and older.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
